Fukushima's Nuclear Disaster Booklet

This school project is a booklet about the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster (福島第一原子力発電所事故). This was an energy accident at the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant in Ōkuma, Fukushima Prefecture, initiated primarily by the tsunami following the Tōhoku earthquake on 11 March 2011.

The whole project turns around the concept of chaos. All the images, paragraphs and paginations are made following this concept. There's also a parallelism between the seismograph's waves and the heart beats wave.

The design of this school project is inspired by the New Wave Movement and Wolfgang Weingart's style.

The earthquake occurred at 2:46:23PM local time (05:46:23 UTC) on Friday, March 11, 2011. The epicenter of the earthquake was located at sea, off the coast of Honshu, 130km east of Sendai, in Miyagi Prefecture, Japan.
An explosion is recorded at the Fukushima nuclear power plant when they tried to cooling the nuclear reactor, the explosion doesn't generate radioactive leaks. 210,000 people are evacuated from the immediate vicinity of the plant.
A second 6.3 earthquake on the Ricther scale shakes the Fukushima coast, damaging reactors 1 and 2 of the nuclear power plant. A tsunami caused by the earthquake hits the east coast of Japan.
A graphic that shows the number of victims of this nuclear catastrophe. 10,019 people killed and 17,541 people disappeared due to the Fukushima nuclear accident.
The phases begin to cool the reactors, without success. There is a 5-hour blackout that affects 10,000,000 homes. Supports arrive from Tokyo for the Fukushima nuclear power plant.
The concerns of Japanese habitants begin to grow due to the discovery of contaminated food and water. There are levels of radioactive iodine in treatment plants.
The consequences of the Fukushima nuclear disaster leave radiation hospitalized workers, 6 Japanese prefectures with contaminated water and fatalities in the nuclear plant.
